“In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David (Sukkat David) which is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations upon whom my name is called, saith Jehovah who doeth this.”Amos 9:11-12

The prophet Amos, who prophesied these words, lived at the end of the era of the Kingdom of the Ten tribes of Israel. The schism between the House of Judah and the House of Israel had occurred before, soon after king Salomon’s death and after a long list of infidels reigns the Ten tribes were going to be sent to exile, scattered among the nations from where they didn’t come back yet.

The House of Judah became also infidel and was sent into exile two hundreds years later. The Jews came back from Babylon but the Kingdom of Israel has never been again like in the glorious time of David and Salomon.

G-d has promised us that " in that day ", He will raise up David’s Kingdom, called the tabernacle or tent, which is an image of the divine spiritual cover, the Shekhina or presence of G-d. That day is also the Redemption day for Israel, the coming of her Messiah.

When Yeshua came, salvation came down to earth and the nations were welcomed into the Kingdom of David as mentioned in the Book of Acts chapter 15. But the Virgin of Israel has not yet come back from " exile ", has not yet come back to Her King Messiah,  and  we wait for " that day " when David’s cover through Yeshua HaMashiah (Yeshua the Messiah, the Anointed One)  will be fully established in all its messianic significance. Then, all the nations in the world will call upon the name of the G-d of Israel and in that day, His name will be ONE.

At Sukkat David, we believe that G-d called us as Jews to contribute to the restoration of David’s tabernacle. We hope that you will benefit, through the different teachings and writings which you will find on this website, from the richness of Avraham’s heritage meant to bless all G-d’s people and whom Israel is the guardian.

Shalom to all of you and be blessed during the time you will spend under Sukkat David!
